Day 14

We decided that our trip would just not be complete without a detour through Rexburg.  Mitch hadn't been back in a LONG time (I went not too long ago for Dale's graduation) and we thought it would be fun for the kids to have a look around good ole Southeast Idaho.

Our first stop of the day however was to the Ogden Temple #16.  This was Julia's favorite temple.  It looks nothing like it used to.  Wow!

It was fun to see all the weddings that were going on that day.

Next stop..... Brigham City, Temple #17

At this point Lucy was no longer cooperating.  She would not get out of the car.

We made it to IDAHO!

We all had a good laugh when we got to Idaho Falls and saw the "Falls."  No one would believe me when I told them, that "those" falls were the reason it was named Idaho Falls.  It was just too small and unimpressive to them.  Good thing for Wikipedia to prove them all wrong!

The temple was closed for cleaning and was under construction, so this was about as close as we could get!

Rexburg, Idaho

The place is so completely different from when we were in school it is hardly even the same place.  Only a handful of things remain the same.  We did however enjoy the trip down memory lane and showing the kids around.  We had a good time looking around the bookstore and Cameron got his first look at college books and how big and expensive they are.

Rexburg, Idaho Temple # 19
This was Cameron's favorite temple of the trip.

There was a wheat field across the street from the temple and we couldn't help but take some photos.

Our last stop of the day was to Butte, Montana.  Everybody was excited to enter into our 8th state of the trip and enjoy "Big Sky Country."  We spent a good deal of time looking for a Montana souvenir in Butte but strange enough we could not find any!  Apparently people don't go to Butte and want to remember it.

Day 14: Holiday Inn, Room #221, two queen beds and a sofa pullout, last hotel until HOME!
