Edible Art?

The other week as I was walking past a wall decoration in the house I noticed that someone has been nibbling on the decor.  This wouldn't be so disturbing if the decoration wasn't at least 2 years old and covered with a nice shellac to keep the peeps from being food.  No one has dropped dead yet from poisoning so that is good!  I live with a few beavers.

Easter

The annual Easter Egg dying...

Got say, having older kids makes this task so much easier than in the past.  We dyed some eggs without a huge mess and the clean up was a snap.  Not one of the hard boiled eggs were eaten.  My kids and husband won't touch them so we dye them, hide them, find them and then throw them away.

The Easter Bunny came and left us some surprises and some tasty treats.  The kids pretty much polished off their candy in three days flat.

The bunny brought this for Mitch so that he could celebrate the true reason for the season. :)

The Stuard's have some amazing talents...

I snapped this picture of Julia eating breakfast this morning.  It's amazing that a giraffe could fold herself up like this.  Can you believe anyone can sit like this?  It takes talent to do this on a bar stool!

FLASHBACK~ 2014- DALE'S WEDDING

I thought it appropriate that I finally post my pictures of Dale and Jillian's wedding on their ONE year anniversary!  What a fabulous trip and an awesome wedding to attend. A year later some of the details of the wedding are starting to fade but the one thing that sticks out in my mind was the wedding ceremony.  It was probably the very best that I have had the privilege to attend.  It was truly beautiful.  What a wonderful weekend to spend time with family and to remember what is most important in this life!

The Bride and Groom

He will always be "rat boy" or the "Ninga Rat" even if he is official a grown up!

The girls absolutely love Jillian and probably hugged her 100 times each.  It was very sweet.

All my siblings were able to come to the wedding but Kierstin and Amy's families stayed behind at home.  They were greatly missed.  It is always a good time when we can all be together.  Here is the group of cousins that attended.  These were their cute wedding dresses/Easter dresses.

A few of my favorite people!

The Siblings

This picture was taken on May 22, 1998 at the Bountiful Temple, the day Kara and Matt were married.  We  found it fitting that a reenactment of this picture happen 16 years later, in the same location.

This picture was taken April 12, 2014 at the Bountiful Temple. Things have changed just a bit the last 16 years! We took the next picture because who knows when the next picture needs to be reenacted.  We had way too much fun taking this picture!

FLASHBACK- Utah 2014-- Temple Square

Our Spring break road trip to Utah was very short. We left Wednesday and came home on Sunday.   When it was all over we wish we could have stayed longer.  We rented a big house in North Salt Lake so that the whole family could all be together.  We had so much fun just being together.  We  don't get to be together very often so we definitely made the time count. There was a lot of laughing and being crazy together.  My back was in terrible shape because of my herniated disc so I was on a lot of pain medication the whole trip. Some might say I was a lot more fun all drugged up.  I am so grateful that I was able to make it there and enjoy the celebration even though I limped through most of it.

On Thursday we spent our one and only free day at Temple Square.  We took Temple Square by storm since we were such a large group.  It was fun to be with the kids and show them around.  They were too small the last time we were there and couldn't remember it.  We took LOTS of pictures.

The sisters

This might be one of my favorite pictures of the day!

We thought it might be nice to go to the church office building and meet some people on the 47th floor.  Unfortunately security had another idea for us.  They did allow us to go to the top of the building and see the view from the top.  We had the weight capacity in the elevator going up.

Got to love this photo bomber!

We also took the tour of the Conference Center.  It was very impressive!

Kierstin was pregnant with Ruby and was waddling around, my back was making me limp, and Katie had a major eye problem that made her eye swell pretty much shut.  The three of us made for a pretty entertaining traveling freak show.

He is getting a little big for this!
