Huskies #9

Natalie is finally old enough to play soccer!  She has been waiting and waiting for this day to finally arrive.  Nat loved playing goalie and being a forward.  Whenever she was a defender she would end up talking and playing with whoever was standing next to her...definitely a social butterfly.

Natalie and her "VERY FIRST TROPHY"!!

Seahawks #8

The Seahawks had a winning season 7-1!  Cam continues to amaze us with his athletic ability and LOVE of football.  He is still loving flag football and playing on the same team as his good friend.

To say that Cameron is a die hard fan of the real Seahawks is quite the understatement.  He lives and dies by their wins and losses week to week.  He is his father's son with all sorts of newspaper clippings and statistics  hanging all over his walls.  I thought he was going to have a heart attack last Thursday when the Seahawks almost lost a nail bitter game to the Rams.  He makes me love football!

I made little footballs for the team party.  I know...who knew I could be so crafty when I want to?

Two Years Old

Our Lucy turned two last Saturday!  She was very aware that it was her birthday and kept pointing to the decorations all day, saying "two."  Yesterday she went to the Dr. to get her check up.  She is exactly 36" long (one yard!) and is in the 94% for height.  She is definitely trying to catch up to her sisters.  She is 28 lbs (68%) and was not happy about getting her shots but forgave the nurse when she gave her a sucker.

You can tell Lucy is my fourth child because I didn't need to buy any decorations for her birthday... it was a collection from birthday's past.

Lucy is all girl.  Shoes, purses, babies.....

Insomnia

A Bernstein Bear book could be writing about the sleeping problems in our home as of late: "The Stuard Children and the trouble with sleeping"

It started with Cameron last spring and has slowly worked its way through the girls.  Someone is always crying that they can't sleep.  It is driving Mitch and I C*R*A*Z*Y

Lucy has decided that in order for her to sleep she needs her birds on (a music thing that is strapped on to the crib that plays music with lights) and also one of the girl's dream lights.  If the girls don't let her take a dream light to bed she cries and cries.  Last night a tragedy occurred and the batteries in her birds died.  I mean tragedy because when Lucy can't sleep neither can the rest of us!  We all now know what Lucy will be getting for Christmas....her very own dream light.  Anyone want to come over and have a sleepover?  Or better yet....can I come over to your house and get some sleep?

Issaquah Gliders

Better late than never, right?  Looking over my pictures I came across these of the kids in their Gliders Track club this summer.  In my blog hiatus over the summer they were missed!

This was so much fun for kids.  Something that they could all participate in at the same time.  Cameron is our long distance man, Julia is a sprinter and Nat tells us she likes the shot put!

Julia was amazing this year with her long legs.  She pretty much won every race she was in.  She still appears to be a running giraffe.  Mitch is convinced that if Cameron and Julia were put in a sprint race head to head that Julia could beat Cameron.  But we won't tell him that!

The Gliders have kept records of the fastest times for kids in different age groups.  Cameron, of course wants to be on the record books as number #1.  He worked hard each meet to break the mile record of 6:00, but missed it by just one second.  Each meet he ran in he would run the 400, 800, and the mile, talk about a serious runner!

Lucy, of course was in it for the treats!

Mitch's Alumni mile was in the last week of August.  Mitch told him he could run in it with him and he would help pace him to finally beat 6:00 minutes.  He ran it in 5:58!!

Witch Hunt

Last Saturday Julia and I had a Witch Hunt to attend.  All the activity day girls and their moms were invited.  Julia was so excited she could hardly wait.  We had a Witch scavenger hunt, dinner and a craft.  Julia loves everything that they do at achievement days.  I told her the reason why is because it is all things that girls love to do.  We are lucky to be girls!

Julia and her pumpkin bat

Square pumpkins

This was Laura and my attempt in being crafty.  I wouldn't say that they turned out like the picture we were following.  You know the lady who made the original ones just threw hers together  "super easy and quick"  Yeah right.......

They turned out cute, very "antiquish" looking.  I think we might have gotten our fill of "crafting" for awhile.

Need some pictures of Lucy Baby?

My baby is almost gone... I can hardly believe it.  This girl is going to be two next week! Where has the time gone?  Lucy and Mom are like Peas and Carrots, pretty much where I am, so is Lucy.

Lucy learned how to climb the ladder to the top bunk and is quite pleased with herself.  She is now longer interested in going down the stairs on her stomach but must walk down them like a big girl.

She doesn't say much but she sure knows how to get her point across.  Her vocabulary consists of: Mom-ME, baby, MINE, NO, nack (snack), drink, please, bye, more, dad-EE, bus, two, and that is about it.  Every morning when we get back from the bus, Lucy climbs on the couch points to the tv and grunts, "baby, baby, baby"  This means she wants to watch her Baby Einstein video and I better put it on fast or she will throw a tantrum!

I love her funny personality that is developing and am so glad that we get to hang out every day!

Maybe next year she will have some hair on top!

Teeth

It has been all about teeth around here.

If I had been smart I should have gone into Dentistry and saved us some money. We have been dealing with teeth issues for the last month.  My wish for the next month is for everyones teeth to stay in their mouths!

~Natalie lost her 2nd tooth last week and was so excited for the the Tooth Fairy to come visit her.  Her permanent tooth has already started to come in so it was ready to come out but was helped along by biting on a blanket and then having her sister rip that blanket out of her mouth.

~ I took Julia to visit the Orthodontist.  She has some bite and crowding issues and will be getting an expander hopefully in December.   She is so excited that she has been writing about the exciting visit during writing time at school. (What a funny girl!)  If only we had orthodontic insurance.....somebody call a whambulance for me, this is expensive!

~ Cameron has come of age where his canine and 1st baby molars are all getting loose.  The other week Cameron had Grandma Swany pull out a canine that he just couldn't get out.  And if you know Cam that is saying something.  The kid can rip just about any tooth out of his mouth!  He then had a permanent tooth that was coming in where his molar was but the molar wasn't out or even loose.  We ended up taking him to the dentist to get the molar pulled so that the other tooth could come in normally.  He was a brave guy and on the way home he said, "Wouldn't it be funny if the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny were the same person?"  ...So we might need to have a little talk with him!  Yesterday Cameron showed me that he has like 3 or 4 more loose teeth. Heaven help me!!

~  While I was brushing Lucy's teeth I realized that she is getting her 2 year old molars.  No wonder she has been cranky!
