5 Days Old

We are loving our new baby!  We went to her Dr. appointment today and she weighs 9 lbs 6 oz.  Healthy girl that likes to eat and sleep (unfortunately for mom and dad she likes to mainly sleep during the day and wants to be held all night!)

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!

I will post more pictures soon.  Still trying to recover while adjusting to very little sleep!

Halloween Preview

Last night was our ward's annual Halloween party.  The kids had a fun time and got buckets full of candy.  I wore an orange pumpkin shirt that was quite fitting for the occasion.  It looked as though I swallowed one whole.  3 days to GO!

Today was our primary program.  I always look forward to watching my kids sing.  Natalie was behind three of the 11 year old girls and wasn't able to be seen most of the program, Julia was sitting directly behind the piano, again unable to be seen and the one child that I WISH was unable to be seen was in full view.  Cameron woke up C*R*A*N*K*Y this morning.  Instead of singing with gusto like his normal self he had a scowl and refused to sing through the entire program.  He looked a little like this the entire time.  Mitch and I were so proud, what can I say?  Not cool.

Proof

They CAN get along some of the time!

For My Entertainment

Natalie has recently become quite proficient on the computer.  She loves to do her "log in" and knows how to navigate through the websites she likes. It is amazing to me how small the kids are and yet they know how to use the computer.  One of the websites she likes to go to has nursery rhymes played to music, she blasts it and sings to them at the top of her lungs.  It is quite entertaining.

Flexibility

Julia came home from school the other day beaming.  They had an assembly and she won an award.  Her award was for flexibility.  In our school district they win awards for being: self-directed learner, collaborative worker, complex thinker, community contributor, quality producer, and effective communicator and Flexibility.  If you can even make out what the heck any of that gibberish means then you are doing better than me!  Each teacher picks a few students each time to win an award.  I laughed out loud when I saw Julia's award because it is so Julia, easy going and going with the flow.  So unlike her brother.  At the very beginning of the year her teacher sent home a survey about each child, under comments I wrote:  Julia is NOT her brother, she makes friends easily and is very easy going.  I have a feeling this was her teacher's way of telling me she understands!

Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday we spent a fun afternoon at the pumpkin patch. There were so many things to do and see. I didn't take very many pictures of the fun event because I was basically just trying to keep walking without assistance. I was hoping all the walking in the corn maze would put me into labor but all it did was make me very tired. I have resigned myself to the fact that this baby isn't going to come any earlier than her scheduled date!

Cameron was a good sport and is already getting to big for a lot of the activities at the pumpkin patch.  That makes me so sad.  He told me after he got off the cow ride he was embarrassed because he was the oldest kid on the ride and most of the kids were babies.

Playing in the corn room.

I was so glad that Mitch was able to come this year and join in on the festivities.  Until next year...

Glacier Park Open House

This week I went to the elementary open house. Mitch was unable to go because of his one and only Cross Country meet that happened to be on a Thursday, the Thursday of the open house. What are the odds? The parking is a disaster at these things and I left later hoping that some people might be leaving and I could find a spot to park. There wasn't a spot even close. I had to park so far away it was unbelievable, I swear it was at least a half mile probably farther. I actually started crying while walking because I am so big and heavy.  You would think someone might have had pitty on the 9 month pregnant fat lady. Seriously!  But enough of my sob story....
I really do love seeing the kids rooms and them being able to show me around at everything they do. I took a few pictures for Mitch on my phone of some of the cute things that they had hanging up in their rooms so that he could see them.

This was hanging on Cam's locker door (yes, Cam has a locker in his classroom!)  It was so cute that I had to take a picture of it.  Each square represents something about him.
1- His name 2- His favorite number 3- Favorite color 4- Favorite animal 5- Someone special to him 6- Favorite food 7- Favorite book 8- How many people in his family 9- Favorite movie 10- Thing he likes to do 11- Best subject 12- His last name.

In Julia's classroom they had a lot of art hanging up but on one wall they had their favorite/best writing journal hanging up.  This was Julia's.  I know that Laura would be jealous!  Julia has the ability to make friends easily and while we were there every time we turned around someone was coming up to her or shouting hello.  It was very fun to see.  On the way out of Julia's classroom, Natalie waved good bye to Julia's teacher and said "Good bye Mrs. Lagerquist, see you when I grow up and am in your class"  Where did I get her?  She is a character as my grandpa would say!

Puzzle Weekend

It must be General Conference weekend...

This morning as I was setting up the card table to do a puzzle while I listened to Conference, I left the room to find my puzzle and came back to this.
