34 Years Young

Yep, another year older and wiser too.
Mitch so kindly reminded me that I am closer to 40 than to 25.  I really appreciated that!

The sun came out for my special day, I did yard work and went out to dinner childless.   Not too shabby of a day.  I am perhaps getting old though,  I almost stopped the car the other day while driving when I saw some teenagers littering and told them to pick it up.  Who does that?  Oh yeah...people that are old.

6 Months

Lucy is six months old today.  Where has the time gone?

1st Solids

Getting ready!  Set.  Go.....

She is loving her food.

Just a quick picture of Lucy in her new jammies.  I got the glow bug out of a box of baby toys that had been put away. She laughed and laughed when it played music.  Although I am not sure who likes it more Lucy or Natalie.  Natalie has been carrying the thing around like a long lost friend that was just found.

Swimming

We just finished a session of swimming lessons and we sure had fun!  Natalie was SO excited.  This was her turn to take lessons and not have to watch.  It was truly BLISSFUL for me to have her in lessons this time around.  Julia is becoming a little fish.  She is a good little swimmer and was loving lessons.  All of the kids passed their classes and sure were excited.

When I got Natalie's "report card" I had to laugh out loud.  It was true!  She is so excited to be a big girl and swim she was literal bouncing, smiling and waving the whole time.

War

I have declared war with my neighborhood Woodpecker!  The bird is driving me crazy.  It wakes me up every morning by pecking on my house.  I scare the stupid thing away at least four times a day.

I think I might be losing the battle.  Dale, where are you when I need you?!!!!

Basketball 2012

Cameron- Third grade boys--Age 8
Team- The Super Sonics

Cameron had fun playing basketball this season.  He has really improved and he is quite good.  Mitch and I have had long discussions about what kind of team to put him on next year.  I'm not sure that I am ready for what a select team might entail.  Mitch and another guy from our ward were the coaches for the second year in a row, but with Mitch's calling as Stake Sports Director he was so heavily involved in stake basketball it made this season a little stressful.  Which leads me to my next point.......Mitch will most likely not coach him next year. Which leads me to my next point.......

Has your child done something that has made you so mad that you seriously want to kill someone?  Yeah.....

When Cameron is sent to his room for a variety of reasons and the person that put him there is Mitch, Cam   looses it.  He has been known to takes down pictures that are hanging in his room of the two of them and throws away newspaper clippings of sports news if Mitch gave them to him.  Would you say he has a temper?  (Mom and Dad you can stop smiling)  So... a few months ago and yes it has taken me that long to cool down.  I found these in his room after he had gone on a rampage of sorts the night before.  I seriously could have skinned him alive.  I am sad that when he gets older and wants to look back at when his dad was his coach this will be his memory.  Oh the joys......................

Happy Easter

Our Angry Bird Easter eggs

On the hunt for eggs

The Easter Bunny brought Cameron a whoopee cushion.  Cameron and Mitch had the flu and didn't feel well most of the day.  We can't seem to get rid of the bug that is going around.

Lucy's 1st Easter!

My Triplets

My girls in their Easter Dresses.  Mitch accuses me of playing "dress up" with our babies. Guilt as charged and I have so much fun!!

(My poor Cam had the flu on Sunday so I don't have a picture of him)

High Tea 2012

Last year for Mom's birthday I took her and some of my sister's for High Tea.  We had such a fun time that we have decided to make this an annual trip.  Kara came up for her Spring Break and we took this opportunity to go.  The night before we went shopping and saw some fun hats and thought they were what we needed to "fancy up" our lunch.  I am sure that we looked a little crazy but hey we are and we had a fun time doing it!

Nothing says fancy like something you eat to "cleanse your palate"

The scones were very good and I told everyone at the table I wasn't above eating the jam, cream, and lemon custard without the sconce.  I did manage not to lick the plate.  Thanks ladies for the fun afternoon!

After we got home these two played Tea.  They looked fabulous!

Today-Spring Break Day 3

Cameron:  "I really like Shel Silverstein but he looks like a burglar."  --Well he has got a point!

Natalie is becoming very aware of others around her that are different. She isn't being mean she is just stating things she is seeing and is interested but...this is becoming a little embarrassing at times.  Today in Wal-Mart she said very LOUD "Mom, that woman is FAT" and the other day at swimming lessons she said about the lady at the front desk "She has a ring in her nose!"  Of  course these people are about 2 feet from us when she says things like that.  Isn't that nice?

Note to self:  My children CAN read.  I know this, really I do but I forget how old they are.  They are not babies anymore!  Today I told the kids that I was going to buy them a surprise at the store but they were going to have to wait until we got there.  Unfortunately my need to make a list (so I won't forget my head) had it on the list.  Julia, of course read the list and then stated " I know what the surprise is!"  What a stinker.  Also...they read my calendar and want to know every detail that is on it.  Yesterday, I heard Julia reading something to Natalie and Cameron they were laughing and laughing.  I went into the room to see what the deal was and Julia had pulled up on the computer, thestuardfamily.blogspot.com reading the entries and having a good laugh.  I told Mitch that I think I need to password protect my blog.

Cameron placed 5th in Mitch's friends pool for the NCAA tournament.  He was so mad when he found out that Mitch was 4th.  It was rather humorous/alarming how competitive he is!

Lucy is officially the same length as the bassinet. Yet as I squeezed her into it tonight, I thought "I am not ready for her to grow out of it." So I will continue to do so.
