No training wheels!

Mitch decided that it was time to teach Cam to ride his bike without training wheels. We borrowed a smaller bike from our friends so Cam's feet would reach the ground and after dinner they set off to practice in the golf course parking lot. In about 15 minutes Cam was a pro! By the end of the night he was zipping around and riding fast.

(Sorry the pictures are blurry in the videos...our camera isn't the greatest for movie making)

Before he got the technique of braking. New shoes?

The Pro.

A boy named Christian...

The truth is we have some really strange neighbors. We really try to keep to ourselves but with Cameron this has become a challenge. They have a boy who is 12 and is home schooled and Mitch swears hasn't left the house in over a year (Well that might be a stretch of the truth). Anyway, the kid doesn't have any friends or a least that we see, he plays in his backyard by himself with his dog. I know, it is really sad! Since the weather has warmed up Cameron has taken a piece of lumber leaned it up on the fence, climbs up it, sits on the fence and talks to the boy. Cam tells me all sorts of random information that I don't know about the family, my own little spy. Cameron told me the other day that Christian was his best friend. It almost made me cry. We aren't sure what to think, but Cameron is sure cute.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Birthday Cameron

Cameron's birthday finally arrived!! He had been waiting and checking the calendar every day this month for June 21 to FINALLY come.
Here are some pictures from the big day: The big 6!

(This is a picture of his very important birthday crown that he got a week earlier in school)

Cameron had an awesome day. He is so fun to watch open his presents, he rips them open and gets SO excited about each gift. The only word to describe it is GUSTO! I wish I had filmed him opening some of his presents. He brings smiles to everyone watching him. His primary teacher told me the other day "Cameron has a unique excitement for life and for everything around him". That is so true. I can't believe my boy is 6 years old. He is truly one of a kind and that has kept me on my toes from the day he was born but I can't imagine life without him. He is one of the funniest people I know. Below I attached some pictures of what I simply will call:
Cameron-isms

One of those days...

Are you kidding me?
Sometimes I wonder if I am feeding children or wild animals. I think the answer is obvious: The children are wild animals. Although, I do believe most wild animals make less of a mess!

Busy Saturday

Our day started bright and early. I ran in our stakes "Trek around the Trail" 5K fun run. I ran in the same race last year but before that I haven't been in a competitive race since I was at Ricks. I ran a 25:16 which isn't fantastic but it is about 8:09 a mile. Not bad for an old women. Mitch's dad was there to capture the moment for me. Cameron ran the last 800 meters with me and was so cute. He wanted to talk and kept saying "Boy, mom were going fast." I am glad that I was able to impress someone with my speed.

After the race we rushed over to watch Cameron's last T-ball game and have a team party where he got a baseball trophy and some cake. He is so excited about the trophy and brought it to school today for show and tell. He told Julia that she could have his old soccer trophy now because he doesn't need it. Nothing like somebody else's awards to cheer you up!

After a quick nap, we went with Sterling, Kierstin, Mesha, Griffin, and Dale to Snoqualmie Falls. It was raining a little bit but it was fun. Cameron and Julia have been fascinated by water falls lately. I think they have been watching too many cartoons where someone goes over a waterfall, so it was fun to see one in person.

We took the hike down to the bottom of the falls. With five small kids that isn't just a piece of cake. Natalie was happy riding in a back pack! Hooray!

After our hike we went to Bellevue for dinner and games. We have been having such a fun time with our cousins being so close! Thanks for the fun day.

We call her...Visa

Natalie is a very busy girl that wants to do everything, never be left out of anything and she is literally
"Everywhere you want to be"

Singing Fools

I love it when Cameron and Julia sing! Their hoarse little voices are so cute. Cameron has a kindergarten music program next Friday, June 12th and I can't wait!

I'm so glad to be here...

I'm so glad when daddy comes home...

(After talking with Kierstin, I don't think there is anyway to fix these. Sorry!)
