Pumpkin Carving

Finally got our pumpkins carved the night before Halloween.  Better late than never right?  Cameron informed me this was going to be the last year of dressing up and that he wasn't going trick or treating this year because he is too old.  So sad!  His costume is awesome though.  Pictures to come tomorrow.....

These are a few of my favorite things

Swimming

I promised Lucy that for her birthday that we would go swimming.  The thing about a five year old is that they have a memory like a steel trap.  She wasn't about to let me forget and talked about it non-stop all week.  The pool wasn't very busy and the kids loved having the place almost to themselves.  The highlight of the trip was that the Octopus was out.

Five

How can it be that my Lucy Baby is 5?  She has had a countdown calendar in her room for the past month marking off the days.  She chose a unicorn party and was so excited for her day.

At preschool she got a birthday crown, got to bring the snack, and got a present from her teacher.  Afterwards Mom and Lucy had a nice birthday lunch at McDonalds.  She also got to choose the dinner for the night which was spaghetti and jello.

Lucy had a very expensive wish list for her birthday:  Barbie camper, Barbie dream house, American doll...
I was glad that she wasn't too disappointed when she got none of these!

Cameron gave Lucy some Icebreaker mints of her very own.  This was her favorite present.  Why was I worried?

Happy Birthday Lucy!!

Our gardens

We spent a little time at our gardens the other day.  Natalie was so excited to see her pumpkins growing.  Unfortunately I think we planted them too late in the season but it was still fun to see them getting big.

Lucy found this little frog and would not leave it alone.  It was "so cute."

Marketplace

Natalie's class had a Marketplace this week where they sold items that they made at home and then sold to classmates using "Hampshire Hero tickets" they earned in class for doing good things.  Natalie's business was origami birds, frogs, and boats.  This was quite the ordeal because she had to learn to make these first and then fold all of them.  She worked for over a month on her business and was so cute at the marketplace selling them.

Cheetahs

This Fall Natalie has been playing soccer.  She is seriously the cutest thing.

Here I am.  Freezing to death, in the pouring rain watching the Cheetahs play soccer.  Do my lips look blue?
We have actually been pretty lucky and have had good weather for most of the season.

Truths

Came across this on the internet last week.  AMEN.

Have you ever been to the Wal-Mart pick up counter?  Well I have and thoroughly enjoyed 1A that someone added.  For me it is more like 40 minutes but hey I saved on shipping right?  **crying**

Living the dream

Popcorn at 9:00 am.  Yes, please.  Last Thursday Lucy and I spent some quality time at Les Schwab while they fixed our tire.
