Milestones

I turned 35 on Sunday. I am not sure how this happened!!  For the past few years on our birthday's, Mitch and I have marveled at how fast time is going.

This seems like it was just yesterday.....

and this too.....

We are going to blink and Cameron is going to be graduating high school!!

Mitch was recognized this last week at work for being at his company for 10 years! Where has the time gone?

Rollerskating Giraffe

Julia went to a birthday party for a friend this past weekend.  It was a roller skating party at a roller rink.  I should mention that Julia has no idea how to roller skate!  She literally looked like a giraffe on skates if you can imagine what that might look like.  It was the cutest thing ever, legs and skates flying all over the place. The next day she had some big bruises on her knees from crashing so much.

Ever since the party, Natalie has had a pair of roller skates on in the house trying to learn.  She was dying that she couldn't go to the party.  She is about to kill herself but is loving every minute of it!

Best birthday gift!

Lucy's 1st day of Nursery was yesterday!  What a nice birthday present that was for me.  I have been walking the halls for months!!  She was the smallest, baldest, little thing in there but she didn't cry at all, just played, played, played!!  Natalie and Julia were worried if she could go to class because she can't talk.  Lucy only says three things, Da da, Ma ma, and peaz.  She points to whatever she wants grunts and says, "peaz"  It is so cute that you end up giving her pretty much whatever she wants!

She was so proud when she got out of her class and showed me her handout!

Cameron took this picture and it is completely fuzzy but it is a picture of the two of us before church.

Easter Photo Shoot

Easter Sunday + Eight Cousins + Matching outfits =  ADORABLE!!

What can we say?  Kara and I have WAY TOO MUCH fun dressing up our dollies!

Yes, Natalie is now taller than Ashley.  We were taking bets when Lucy will pass her up!!  Ash, we love you!!

 The boys must stick together!!!

Can you believe I didn't get one picture of Miss Charlotte in her blessing outfit?  She was beautiful!! It is hard when you have multiple costume changes in one day!

The Easter Bunny came!

Coloring eggs

The Easter Bunny found us!

Cameron said that the Easter Bunny did an excellent job!  Cam watched his DVD 3 times in a span of 24 hours!!

Lucy having fun looking for eggs

The Easter Bunny left a note, telling the kids how many eggs they each could find!

Spring Break

For Spring Break we went on a road trip to Coos Bay to visit our cousins, meet our newest cousin, celebrate Easter and go to Charlotte's baby blessing.  Unfortunately our cousins spring break and ours were not the same week so we only stayed a few days, but we packed in as much fun as we could.  Mitch was unable to go because of work, track, and stake basketball, so we left our dad at home and hit the open road.  Katie was nice enough to join us on our adventure.  I am not sure if she will ever to that again!  Don't let Lucy fool you in this picture.  She is NOT the best traveler.  You could say when she is done traveling, she is DONE!

Lucy enjoyed meeting Charlotte.  She was intrigued at the baby doll that moved, had a pacifier and cried.  The night we got there, Charlotte stayed up to greet us and both girls were wearing the same jammies!

WARNING:  One might think that Lucy was my only child who went on this trip by looking at the pictures.  True be told-- when the other three get around their cousins they disappear, playing, playing, playing!

Lucy trying on a fur hat.  This might have come in handy this past winter!

We went to the beach to enjoy the sun and sand.  Lucy was unsure of the sand and would not move!  The other three were covered in sand from rolling in it.  We also visited the Winchester Bay Lighthouse and went on a tour of it.

Lucy was fascinated by a lady bug.  It was really cute.

Entertaining ourselves

Track meet, the bus, and THIS girl

Last week we went to daddy's track meet.  Unfortunately it was POURING rain.  Lucy's tray on her stroller filled with water and she spent the time lapping up water with her tongue like a dog.  She thoroughly enjoyed herself.

 Waiting for the school bus

Lucy at the mall.  She loves to walk and she always has her arm swinging!!

Field Trips

It's that time of year again for field trips.  This time I wasn't really feeling the love so when I got the permission slips to volunteer as a chaperon I wasn't going to sign up.  The kids REALLY wanted me to so I signed up hoping that I might not get picked.  Not the best attitude, I know.  So when the paper came back saying I wasn't picked for Cameron's I was sort of relived.  He went to a history museum in Tacoma and when I asked him what he saw or learned he couldn't tell me one single thing! Bravo, Cam.

Julia's field trip was to the Woodland Park Zoo because they are learning about the rain forest.  I had a nice time and really did enjoy spending time with my girl.  This is Julia and her best friend, Madison.  They were so cute together.  Madison is older than Julia but by the looks of it Julia looks about 3 years older.  Yesterday I asked Julia what she did at recess.  She told me "...first recess Madison and I just talked"  They had a lot of catching up to do coming back from Spring Break.  So cute....

A Bear Scout

Cameron earned his BEAR!  His last requirement was to make cookies, so here he is in his cute apron!!  Both mom and Cameron have been hard at work with Scouts (I am the Bear leader)

Tonight we went on a field trip to Home Depot to make tool boxes and to use a saw.  Watching nine year olds use a saw can be a little nerve racking.  A couple of weeks ago wasn't much better when we earned the Whittling Chip Card (The proper use of a pocket knife!)  It was a good thing the Wolves were practicing first aid that night as we used their knowledge!
