Dance Recital
Natalie had her dance recital on Saturday. She was very excited to perform and wear her "gorgeous outfit". I could not for the life of me take a decent picture of her.
She was in a class that had 3-5 year olds. Most the girls Natalie's age were in the kindergarten dance class so she was at least a head taller than all the other girls in her class.
Her tap number was called "Horns to Toes" and she wore these cute shorts with a tutu behind. The ballet number was called "Good Night Moon." And according to Natalie the best part is that you get to keep the outfit!

Vote Grandpa!
Grandpa Stuard is running for Sumner City Council. Last Monday night we went down to help him put his signs together and put a few of them out around town.
The van became the impromptu "campaign mobile or Stuard-ship"
Schools OUT!
Thank heavens for no more homework and projects, the last month about did me in. The last week of school Julia's teacher told them that if they collected enough yogurt containers that they would make volcanoes and have them erupt. I think that her teacher was secretly hoping that this would not happen! Julia single handily made sure that it did. She was eating two to three yogurts a day for the containers. She enlisted Natalie's help and when she told Cameron that he needed to eat some yogurt for breakfast and he didn't want to, she burst into tears. Luckily for Jules all her yogurt eating paid off and on the last day of school they got to make and erupt their volcanoes.
Julia's car she made for her drive-in!
The kids brought home their yearbooks. And when I asked Cam if he was going to have people sign them he looked at me like I was crazy and said "NO!" When I asked if he signed other people's yearbooks he said, "Yes, I sign Cameron with a smiley face." I said to him, " No, have a great summer? Just your name?" He then told me "I'm not that kind of guy" What a funny man.
Yesterday in the car Cameron and Natalie were having a conversation/argument (this is the only way that they can communicate these days) When Natalie asked him if he would "pinkie promise" Cameron told her there were no pinkie promises in his world. I think I would be interested in going to his "world" sometime!
Last Day of Preschool
Preschool is over! Natalie is R-E-A-D-Y for Kindergarten!! She had a picnic at the park for her last day of school.
I made these teacher gifts and left them on the table for a few days. When it came time to give them to the teachers I had to buy more candy because of a certain husband.... I should have known better.
Natalie's class was learning about the life cycle of a butterfly and the last day of school was the big butterfly release. She was talking about it for days. Thank you Mrs. Hurley for a great year!
Last field trip of the year
Cameron's class had one last field trip to the Museum of Flight. I don't think I have been there before. It was pretty cool. It would be fun to go back without kids so you can take your time reading all the things you want without having them wander off.
I told Mitch afterwards that next time we need to fly we should go there and sit in the pretend airplane to practice! He didn't seem to interested!!!
The space stuff was very cool and interesting!

Piano Recital
Cameron and Julia had their end of year piano recital on Monday night. They did a great job!
Julia played two song: A Wish is a Dream Your Heart Makes and a duet with grandma, Sugarfoot Rag.
Cameron played two songs: Apache Braves and Snake Charmer. Cameron was brave enough to play his songs from memory. No music!

Work Animals
This is how we spent our day today... Our grass was in serious need of help and so after deliberating over it for months we decided to rip it out and start over. That is H-A-R-D W-O-R-K!! Hopefully we will have sod soon or I am going to have some filthy children and house.
Lucy enjoyed relaxing on the very last piece of green grass.
Art
Yesterday she painted this frog picture with watercolors. This is serious better than anything I could do. She made a book for her best friend who loves frogs.
Natalie, of course, was not to be left out. She has made a penguin book, frog pictures, colored and paint egg cartons, and the list goes on.
This might be my favorite thing Natalie has made!
