Jack and the Beanstalk

Cameron was in his second play of his career, Jack and the Beanstalk.  He was a Merchant.  I think that the school does it on purpose, having your kids in different plays so that they can milk more money out of you!  Well probably not, but one has to wonder.  Cam was very cute and worked hard preparing for his role.  Way to go Cam!!

This girl

This girl is walking and she is into everything.  I mean everything.  She is my full time job.  She can open drawers, gets into the garbage, climb stairs, find any and all things she shouldn't be in and makes sure that she is.  I asked Kara today if she wanted to trade babies for a few days.  She didn't take me up on the offer.  I could really go for a few days with tiny baby. 

Lucy has been sick this last week and very UNHAPPY.  She cries pretty much all day while she is awake hanging onto my legs so I can't walk or get anything done.  Tonight when I had just about had it with the crying I put her in the highchair and gave her a sucker.  Yeah, she is a stinker.... HAPPY AS A CLAM.  She ate the entire thing and it was the most peaceful 40 minutes of my day.

4th grade music concert

Last week I attended a 4th grade music concert.  How is that possible that this man is in 4th grade?  The music included the hits:

Cameron is growing up.  He didn't sing with the gusto of his past self, for that I am a little sad but I guess he is nine. But he was darn handsome.

One week...

till the Stuard family visits the Happiest Place on Earth!  And boy are we excited!!!

Math Fact Master

 

Cameron is a Math Fact Master!

Cam passed all his timed multiplication and division facts 1-12.  This means he gets his name put up on the wall at school and gets an official math fact master band.  He is starting another zero hour math class and when I spoke to him about it he made me laugh.  He told me that his teacher already had talked to him about it at school and according to Cam she told him, "Cameron, I know you are really good at math and a Math Fact Master and everything but I think you will really like this class..."

Natalie's Valentines

Natalie insisted that we work on her Valentines today.  If you haven't been bossed around by a five year old then I will lend you mine for some experience.  I have had enough experience, I could use a break!

She told me that she couldn't make check marks very good but was really good at smiley faces so she used those instead to check off the people she had finished.  Have I mentioned that she is 5 going on 17?

She has a crush on one of the boys in her class.  As she was writing out her card to him she kept giggling and giggling about him.  I asked her if he was cute and she turned red and said "He has spiky hair!"

 

I love it when my kids are learning to write the letter E.  I know I should correct them but it is too cute.  Maybe the world would be a better place if we used a few more lines on our Es!

Groundhog Day 2013

Groundhog Day was crazy busy for us Stuards so we were unable to fully immerse ourselves in all our groundhog celebrations, but we did get a good laugh at Phil on the computer and make some cute drawings of him.  Hopefully his prediction will come true and SPRING will be right around the corner!
