Report Card
Natalie brought home her report card last Friday. I LOVED the comment that her teacher said about her. It sums Natalie up perfectly. She comes home everyday with a HUGE smile and tell me why this day was the "best day ever." Usually it has to do with something she is writing about, reading, or a science project they are doing in class. Sometimes it is just because it was library day or she got to buy chicken nuggets for hot lunch. I received an email from her teacher not too long ago that said in the subject line "I love your daughter" and then in the body of the e-mail "That is all." These are the things that make me happy.
Night Headband
For the past week Lucy has insisted on wearing a "night headband" to bed. We couldn't figure out why she was so insistent until yesterday. As I watched Julia wash her face before bed, it all made sense. Julia uses a headband when washing her face. Lucy thinks Julia sleeps with it on because she puts it on right as she is getting ready for bed. What a funny girl.
On another note... Lucy has decided that for Spring Break she wants to ride a horse. She literally talks about it 20 times a day. If anyone knows of a place I can get this accomplished I would love to hear it! Where does she come up with this stuff?!
For the past few months Cameron has grown his hair out, it has been so cute. It all ended this week when he convinced Mitch to give him a buzz. They had a little fun in the hair cutting process.

3rd grade music concert
Natalie had her music concert tonight. Love, love, love all the patriotic songs!
Napping buddies
Lucy no longer takes a nap but every once in awhile she really needs one. Today Lucy and I fell asleep for a late morning nap. (I'm always willing to take a nap!) We even changed positions at one point. Mitch was home to document our nap because he stayed home from work with food poisoning from last nights Mexican dinner.
Grass Issues
It's that exciting time again in the Stuard household where Mitch and I spend all sorts of time and effort trying to get our grass to grow. We had a company that leaves flyers on your house come aerate and thatched our grass. Let's say we have a bit of work to do! **Sigh**

Copy Cat
Lucy copies everything that her older sisters do. Is it a coincidence that Julia and Lucy's favorite foods are the exact same? Ha ha.
It isn't too much of a surprise to see Lucy wearing a hair thing around her wrist the past few months just like her older sisters. It is darn cute. The other day as I was putting Lucy to bed and I came across Lucy's doll with a hair thing on her wrist. I just about died...it was too cute.

December- Flashback
Nutcracker-
We spent a lovely evening at the ballet. All four kids attend with me. Mitch passed. :) This was Lucy's first time going and she was excited.
At the very end of the night Lucy got very tired and was done taking pictures.
Nativity-
Our Stake's Nativity weekend. Lucy was in LOVE with these angel wings and wanted to keep them. I have to say, they were pretty awesome.
New Glasses-
Cameron's BB-
Ornaments-
I don't seem to have any pictures of our ornaments that the girls and I made for our Stuard family ornament exchange but most of November and December was filled with the making of ornaments. The girls really, really loved it.
Sign-
I decided to make a sign for my parents for Christmas. I might have waited a bit too long to get started and there was a few moments I wasn't sure that I was going to be able to get it done in time but thankfully for Mitch we pulled it off. It turned out really cute.
Miscellaneous-
When learning to write your name, it is always a steep learning curve on where it is appropriate to write such name. It is also hard to blame it on others.
Julia received an award at her school. I had the privilege of seeing her receive it.
Santa-
Lucy asked for one thing: A Wellie Wisher (It is a new smaller American Girl doll)
Talk about putting the pressure on Santa
Snowflake Lane and Clam Lights
If there ever was a more Seattle like thing to do... Go look at Christmas lights with umbrellas. Really, really fun!
Christmas Eve
And of course, what can be better than Uncle Dale!
Laura and Dale with their SSASGE gifts (Swany Siblings and Spouse Gift Exchange)
Christmas
We bought our normal size tree and also a mini tree. It was just too cute to pass up. And of course, all the presents!!!

New Glasses-
Lucy picked up some new blue glasses this year. They are very cute. At her last eye appointment it was determined that we need to start patching her eye three hours a day, in hopes of strengthening the other eye. She is such a responsible girl. She reminds me each day that it is time to patch even though she doesn't like the patch and it is not fun for her. I really appreciate her willingness to do this because if she wasn't so willing this would be a huge pain on the daily!
Count down to Christmas-
Lucy brought this home from school as a count down chain to Christmas. Loved it!
Christmas Birds-
Saw these at the store and knew we needed one of each! This is my new favorite video. I love how you can hear each of the kid's laughs in the background.
Cameron's BB-
Cameron tried out and made the 8th grade basketball team. I am so proud of him for doing that. The team was a difficult thing for him. His anxiety made this year and last year a real struggle. He didn't get a lot of playing time and when he did he was so nervous. At one of the last games he got put in for just a few minutes and hit a 3 pointer. I almost cried I was so happy for him.
