Donald Trump called, A LOT.
Turkey Trot:
Lucy ran the 1k by herself. She is "too big" to have someone run with her.
Loving her medal she got at the end of the race....
The 5k participants... Julia, Natalie (1st time!), and Cameron
I seriously LOVE, LOVE her stride. Natters is turning out to be somewhat of a running machine, her XC future will be bright!
The kids all came home with medals. Cameron got 2nd in his age division with a time of 21:11, Julia got 1st in her age division with a time of 27:04 and Natalie got 2nd in her age division with a time of 30:09. There might have been someone not happy with their race but that person will remain nameless. We tried to help them focus on the fun and tradition of the race and not the time. Well... maybe that lesson will be remembered next year!
Krispy Kreme... One of the most important parts of the day!
Soccer Ended and Volleyball Began:
End of the Year Party
Julia's team was the Huskies. This age group is getting good! The games were fun to watch and competitive.
This was Natalie's first year of volleyball and she loved it. Ya know what? I love volleyball too. It is fast, indoors, and warm! Natalie's team was the Ducks. She wasn't thrilled with this name but they had the cutest cheer ever!
One day while I was taking Natalie to volleyball practice we opened the door to the gym and saw this poster! We laughed and laughed. It's not everyday you live with the "face" of Covington Sports!
Lucy's School Picture:
Random Tidbits:
Aloha Day at school
Cheered on the Seahawks
Natalie's feet and Julia's are official the same size, 1/2 size smaller than mine!
Our vacuum stopped working. Mitch decided to take the entire thing apart and figure out what was wrong. Lucky for me he figured it out and was able to put it back together!
Cute Artwork:
(Tinkerbell, Belle, Rapunzel, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Little Mermaid)
and not to be forgotten....
Natalie's Birthday
Natalie turned 9! Her birthday fell on the busiest day of the week for us. So instead of celebrating just once Natalie got a three part celebration. The day before her birthday we went to Red Robin with the Swany gang to celebrate. We might have gone to the world's slowest Red Robin on the planet. It took forever, so long that I was going to forgo the singing with ice cream just so that we could leave. We ended up with the singing and ice cream and one HAPPY girl. On her actual birthday we had a small celebration with us opening presents, blowing out candles and eating cake and ice cream.
The weekend before her big day. She invited some friends to have a pool party at Aunt Megan's. The girls had a fun time swimming and eating.
Lucy was unhappy. The reason escapes me now, but she was cracking us up with her pouting.
