Hair Cut

I decided that it was time for Natalie to get a hair cut, her hair was getting so long and so many different lengths. She is at that precious age after every meal she dumps her plate or bowl on her head and mashes everything into her hair. So her hair has become sort of a problem. This shouldn't be shocking information to anyone, but it is hard to cut a 15 month old's hair! After I cut it, I almost cried. All of her curls are gone. I thought that maybe the curls would still be there after her bath but it is so straight. Her hair is a lot blonder now that the dark ends are cut off. Julia's first comment about her hair was,"Now she looks like a girl-boy!" Well I am not sure what I think about it. Hopefully her beautiful curls will grow back.

Cheer for the day

Cameron has been learning "cheers" in his class that they do when someone in the class completes their reading bookmark. Cameron finished his bookmark on Friday and the class gave him the "Hamburger cheer." The cheers crack me up. The two he is doing in the video are "Cheese and Grater" and "The Hamburger". He seems a little put out in the video because it was "take #3" with the video camera.

Visiting Teaching

My visiting teacher sent this to me and I thought it was so true! The real truth is that I haven't even read the series, but I know more about the books than I should. I keep thinking I will get around to reading them one of these days.

Last Sunday after church Mitch and I came downstairs and found these two sitting at the window watching the snow. It reminds me of the picture from The Cat in the Hat

The sun did not shine. It was too wet to play. So we sat in the house all that cold, cold, wet day. I sat there with Sally. We sat there, we two. And I said, "How I wish we had something to do!" Too wet to go out and too cold to play ball. So we sat in the house. We did nothing at all.
