Soccer girl

Natalie had her very first soccer practice. It is going to be an epic season!

Baby love

Lucy held her baby like this the whole way to Grandma's house.  Seriously, so cute.

Oh, what do you do in the summertime...

Take your Chief to work day

The other day Mitch took Cameron to work with him.  Cameron loved hanging out with dad and eating Subway for lunch!

It's your birthday, shout hooray!

Happy Birthday to my cool, young husband!

Twirling

This was Lucy after church yesterday, twirling.  There are somethings that you don't have to teach a girl, they are born knowing how to do it.  She was cracking us up because she was so dizzy she couldn't walk!

Happy August!

~August is here!~

I am having a internal struggle with myself: I am loving the weather, sleeping in, sandals, and no schedule verses wishing that school would start tomorrow to regain some sense of peace.  There is constant fighting going on and it is driving me C*R*A*Z*Y. Case in point:  One of my kids may or may not have punched another one of my kids in the mouth and that said child might have lost a tooth in the process.  Yes, this is what I am talking about!

Latest Happenings:
Mitch is currently doing P90x and running-- a lot.  He is a fitness machine.  He spends most of his days when not at work, watering the grass, working out, playing with the kids and trying to relax before the end of this month comes and he starts up with coaching and his calling kicks into high gear.

Mitch and I have been running at night and it has been a fun thing for us to do together.  I hurt my back last week though and have been limping around like a hunchback for an entire week.  I finally got so sick of it I went to a chiropractor  to see if they can help.  Of course I am now signed up for a 7 month program that will cost me a small fortune if I do in fact follow through with it.  I also went to the dermatologist today and got 4 moles removed.  I am now sore everywhere!

Cameron spent last week participating in a basketball camp.  It was nice to keep him busy with something other than teasing his sisters.  He has also been working on his activity badges for Webelos.  Grandpa Swany helped him earn his Aquanaut badge the other week when he spent the night.  Tonight he is spending the night at his friends house.  This is his first time for a friend sleepover!

Julia has started activity days and loves it!  She made freezer jam and is going to be making a family home evening kit. Her leaders came over to give her a booklet for achievement days and she was beaming.  If they learn all the Articles of Faith by the end of the summer they will have a ice cream party.  It is a good thing we have been learning them as a family this year in Family Home Evening or I don't think she would have been able to accomplish that.  This was a page she filled out about herself in her achievement day notebook (so cute):

She was also able to go to the American Girl store with Grandma Stuard and her doll was able to get her ears pierced (Julia has to wait a few more years!)

Natalie, Natalie, Natalie..... anybody who has spent time with this girl lately will know what I am talking about.   She is more than ready for school to start and have her own thing going on!!  Natalie is taking a summer cooking class with her preschool teacher this week and gets her very own apron with her name on it.  We went to the zoo this last weekend and she loved all the animals and of course the zoo show!  We are hoping that by the end of the summer she will be riding her bike without training wheels.

Lucy Baby is getting so big.  She is finally starting to talk and get some hair!  Her personality is getting cuter and cuter everyday.  She loves babies and purses which she is constantly carrying around.  She is beginning to take notes from her older sister and can throw a tantrum when she doesn't get what she wants.  Lucy loves to follow her siblings around and be a part of the action and is going to miss them a ton when school starts.
