This year Mitch was a little less than excited to work on the pinewood derby car. That was okay because Cameron had little interest in helping him make it. Cameron said he didn't really care what it looked liked as long as it won. HA! It finally got done in the 12th hour and frankly I was just glad to see something put together. The car actually turned out cute, not the speediest thing though. It got 3rd place out of 4 every time it raced. If you know Cam this was not acceptable and the competitor in him was
TICKED. The little pep talk about not getting mad if our car lost on the way to the church fell on deaf ears...I know you are shocked.
The defeated scout
Mom trying to convince him that it was not the end of the world and that he shouldn't have crinkled up his certificate in a ball just because he was mad. It could have been worse, his car could have been the one scout whose car wouldn't even go all the way down the track. Every year you say a little prayer hoping that it won't be you, because there is always that one!
By the way... I know you are jealous of my awesome scout shirt!!
Alas... Cam's car won overall funniest car and he had something to smile about. Good thing his mom was on the voting committee!
Two down...one more pinewood derby to go!!
